Description
The 2026 MapleGram sheet from the Royal Canadian Mint contains 25 individually sealed 1 gram Gold Maple Leaf coins for a total of 25 grams of .9999 fine gold. Each coin is encapsulated in its own section of a tamper-evident assay card with a unique serial number that certifies its weight and purity. The perforated layout means you can separate individual coins from the sheet without compromising the integrity or authenticity of the remaining pieces.
Every coin in the sheet carries the same design as the full-size Gold Maple Leaf. The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III along with the face value of 50 cents and the year 2026. The reverse features the iconic maple leaf design set against micro-engraved radial lines that serve as both a visual detail and a security feature. These are legal tender coins backed by the Government of Canada.
The MapleGram format exists because not everyone wants to commit to a full ounce of gold at once. At 1 gram per coin you get the same .9999 purity and Royal Canadian Mint craftsmanship in a size that is easier to gift, trade, or liquidate in smaller amounts. If you ever need to sell part of your position rather than all of it, this sheet gives you that flexibility. Twenty-five separate coins means twenty-five separate decisions.
The premium per gram on a MapleGram sheet is higher than what you would pay on a 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf or a gold bar of equivalent weight. That is the tradeoff for divisibility. If cost efficiency is your priority, a larger format will give you more gold for your dollar. But if flexibility and the ability to break your gold into small, individually certified units matters to you, the MapleGram is hard to beat.
